High-quality prints of artwork are available in the store. Prints are framed and will arrive ready to be displayed. Prints of other work are available upon request.
PUBLICATIONS
Currently, James has two publications in which he provided content, illustrations, and photography.
ORIGINAL ARTWORK & COMMISSIONS
Original works are available and James can be commissioned to create new pieces at request. James can work with a variety of paints and inks including oil, acrylic, guoache, and watercolor. He typically works on canvas, paper, and reclaimed wood but is open to other ideas.
ILLUSTRATIONS
James is available to provide original illustrations for a variety of needs at an affordable cost. He has experience creating illustrations for books, pamphlets, brochures, and trail signs. Please contact him with any ideas you may have!
THE STORE
ABOUT
James has been creating artwork depicting the flora, fauna, funga, and wild habitats of Maine and New England for 30 years. Having worked in the fields of research science, conservation, and education, he has contributed illustrations to several local publications, brochures, and hiking trail signs.
James has lived in northern Japan with his family for a decade, where he worked in education in different capacities including teaching English, science, and visual art.
In addition to creating artwork and writing, James likes to forage for wild food and grow edible mushrooms outdoors. He also leads leads wild mushroom forays and mushroom gardening workshops.
